Spider-Gwen nail art
Much like a lot of fans, I’ve been enamored with Jason Latour and Robbi Rodriguez’s Spider-Woman design since she showed up in Edge of the Spider-Verse #2. It’s sleek and minimal, and I knew I had to turn it into nail art.
This look was achieved with the aid of a makeup sponge, a thin paint brush, an orange stick, acrylic paint, and good ol’ Scotch tape.
The face was made by making eye shaped tape cutouts, pressing them onto my nail, and using a makeup sponge to stipple the red nail polish around it. When I was happy with it, I peeled off the tape.
I did the design of the other nails in standard, nail tape procedure.
The webbing was done in acrylic paint because I didn’t have the right shade of blue in nail polish. It worked out for me, though, because I discovered that if I made a mistake I could just use water and an orange stick to clean it up. Much more forgiving than nail polish.
Sealed it with a clear top coat, and tada! A Spider-Gwen manicure befitting of the spunky heroine.
