The emblem on the thumb was done using the decal technique which I WILL be posting tomorrow! Swear it. The photographs and write up are done. I’m just spacing it out so it seems like I’m more active on this blog. ^^;

The rest of the manicure was done using the water spotted technique, which I learned from this youtube video from cutepolish. I can’t tell you how many times I had to keep redoing it to get the spots to look just right. It would’ve been easier to paint them on, but I really wanted to try this technique out.

With the spotted nails, I was trying to emulate the look of the Zerg nest.

Did I get close-ish?

I think this manicure would’ve looked perfect on stiletto nails. It’d be claw-like and appropriate, but I could never pull it off. I’d accidentally poke my eyes out.
